- Establishment of VNPT Technology: VNPT Technology was officially founded on January 6, 2011 by VNPT Group and strategic shareholders. Shortly after its establishment, VNPT Technology acquired Alcatel’s shares in the ANSV joint venture and Siemens’ shares in TELEQ, converting both companies into its subsidiaries.
- July 2011: Vivas was established.
- Signed a USD 7.6 million contract to deploy 3G infrastructure for mobile operator Mobifone.
- Laid the foundation for technology research and development, mastering both hardware and software.
- Launched the first technology product: an IP Set-Top Box designed and manufactured by VNPT Technology.
- Commercialised the first technology product: ADSL modem.
- Successfully deployed a Wi-Fi solution for the 2012 Ha Long Carnival Festival.
- July 26, 2013: Launched Vivas Lotus S1 – the first Vietnamese-branded smartphone fully researched, developed, and manufactured in Vietnam.
- ADSL modem was commercialised on a wide scale.
- Upgraded Manufacturing Plant No. 1 with modern technologies.
- Successfully developed and mass-produced a range of technology products, including ONT and next-generation smartphones.
- Participated in the 15th ASEAN TELMIN – ASEAN Ministers Meeting on Telecommunications and IT.
- Deployed the first shipment of DVB-T2 digital television equipment.
- Received recognition from the Party Committee of Central State-owned Enterprises for contributions to national socio-economic development.
- Became the first IT and telecommunications enterprise in Vietnam to be certified as a High-Tech Enterprise by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
- The only ICT company with a product awarded the Vietnam National Brand title in 2016.
- Won the Pride of Vietnamese Workers’ Intelligence Award 2016 for the iGate DVB T201/202 HD digital TV set-top box.
- Awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for achievements in research, development, and production of Vietnamese-branded technology products.
- Supplied 5 million GPON-ONT devices for FTTH Internet networks.
- Received the Pride of Vietnamese Workers’ Intelligence Award 2017 for the VNPT SmartBox 2.
- Awarded the Government Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister.
- Exported the first batch of products to international markets.
- Successfully developed a dual-band ONT product.
- Won the Gold Cup – 2018 Asia-Pacific Stevie Award for the IoT Platform.
- Won the Vietnam Famous Brand Award 2018 for the iGate and SmartBox product lines.
- Ranked among the Top 10 Prestigious Software & System Integration Companies in Vietnam.
- Retained its position in the Top 10 Prestigious Software & System Integration Companies.
- DVB-T2 digital TV set-top boxes held over 60% domestic market share.
- Launched the Mesh Access Point iGate EW12S.
- Reached the milestone of 10 million network and consumer electronics devices produced.
- Commercialised the ONE Home – One Vision solution.
